Today, we are heading to the absolute favorite playground of Seoul locals: Yeouido Hangang Park (여의도 한강공원).
If you have ever watched a K-drama or scrolled through Korean lifestyle videos on Instagram, you have definitely seen people sitting on picnic mats by a wide, glittering river, eating delicious food. This isn't a tourist setup—it is a deeply rooted local ritual. Let’s look at how you can experience the ultimate, relaxing Han River picnic like a true Seoulite!

One of the most mind-blowing things about Hangang Park for international travelers is that you don't need to pack a single thing to enjoy a perfect picnic.
As soon as you step out of the subway station, you will find numerous rental shops. For just around $10 to $15 USD, you can rent a full Picnic Set that includes a clean picnic mat, a folding table, cute blankets, and even portable Bluetooth speakers and romantic lanterns!
